Heidi Ganahl vs Jared Polis: According to a general election poll, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis has a 4.7% advantage over Republican challenger Heidi Ganahl. Still, according to an internal poll conducted by Ganahl’s campaign, it could be closer.
According to Real Clear Politics, which aggregates polling results from more than one source, the Trafalgar Group poll was conducted in mid-August among 1,087 likely voters with a margin of error of 2.9%. The results show that 46.8% of statewide voters support Polis, and 42.1% support Heidi Ganahl. There are 4.9% of respondents who are undecided in that poll.
Using internal polling conducted by Ganahl’s campaign, the Fort Morgan Times reported that the candidate trails Polis by 2% and within the margin of error for a statistical tie.

An internal poll by Remington Research Group for Ganahl’s campaign was conducted on Aug. 21-22 among 1,503 likely general election voters with a margin of error of 2.5%, weighted according to anticipated demographic turnout. Until considering some issues key to Ganahl’s campaign, it determined Ganahl may be behind by 7%.
“When voters are educated about Colorado Gov. Jared Polis’ positions on fentanyl, crime, and education, Republican Heidi Ganahl pulls within two points,” Ganahl’s campaign reports.
